| I took the opportunity to travel on Virgins Loco hauled 11:43 Pendolino replacement service today form Euston to Birmingham. The ambience in a Mark 3 carriage compared to a Pendolino is fantastic. We were delayed at Camden for the driver to be cautioned for children on the line, but we got going arriving at Birmingham at 13:26. A very slick turn round at Birmingham meant we were on the way back after only 4 minutes, on time with the 13:30 departure back to the capital. Once back at Euston I photted a few units then headed back to Tring to get a phot of the 90 on the 15:43 to Brum. I also took a photo of a 350 from the new car park which gives pretty good views of the slow lines.
